Godliness, Contentment and a $123 million lottery

Deep inside, all of us want to win the lottery.

Don't lie now, like you are one of those super-spiritual people who don't care and would rather stay in your current financial situation. Wait till your best friend wins it and then see how you feel.

Last week I was tempted to buy a lottery ticket and almost did. I didn't buy it not because I thought it was spiritual or morally wrong, but rather i was low on cash (you have to buy them in cash even if it is only a dollar, so the state prevents people from getting in copious amounts debt, which people in the U.S. seem to have no problem doing anyway) I also had thoughts of "how high can this thing go?" and "does it matter if I play today? the lottery will be around forever, so I can play it in a week when i have some cash, you know, buy 5 tickets or so and see the run on my luck"

While I was smelling the fumes of the dirty 87 gas being pumped in my 1999 mustang; thinking about my barely empty wallet, thoughts began to drift by me; like the small flock birds in the distance that were heading where I wanted to go for the winter, a scripture came to me "Godliness and Contentment is great gain" -1 Tim. 6:6
Contentment?! that thought has come up in my mind only one time this entire year, you guessed it--Thanksgiving. Wow, so God doesn't lie and as we've seen in the numerous accounting scandals in the last decade, numbers do actually lie; that scripture hit me,striking like lightning with conviction, sparking a realization of contentment and thankfulness with everything God has blessed me with: my car, my family, being able to be a twin to a greatest brother on earth and so on..

Then I realized I had great gain.

I was blessed beyond measure. It didn't have to take a 7 month hospital stay and caregiving to prove it and be thankful. I had all I needed, it was in me Jesus Christ (who supplies all my needs, and in Him eternity is in me).
That deep, deep inside me was this treasure, a masterpiece God is sculpting away at, that I don't have to create but as Michelangelo chiseled David out of the stone, God is eliminating all the things out of me that don't fit into this unique work so I can be that masterpiece-one that the museums won't sell (Starry Night, Mona Lisa, etc..), the seven wonders of the world that can't be removed but marveled at- and that I was rich. Godliness now accompanied with contentment that God had to cut through the Amazon-like jungle of our distracting, greedy world to show that I am blessed with something beyond what an air chamber and 6 correct balls could offer me.
Realizing, at that gas station, through a guy God used named Timothy; I won the lottery that night.

Not because I picked the numbers, but because God picked me and loved me first- worth a lot more than a $123 million dollars, that's here now and gone tomorrow- like those black birds still gathering in the air heading south, and as the gas pump sharply & harshly stopped;
I knew I just became the richest man in the world.

Training your eyes to see the unseen

When we were kids we ask our parents thousands of questions and many times they had the answers but often times they didn't. When learning words and descriptions of things we didn't know what a car, a school, a bus, or what the sky is. We wouldn't know unless our parents told us their names. When we were kids and grew to adolescence, we know what things are around because of these statements/names that our parents have given and society has coined for descriptions of what's around us.

One thing our parents never taught us are the things we don't see.

What are they? And how do you they operate in your life? What about angels, supernatural things around stated in the Bible, healings and so on. These didn't go away but what has gone away is our vision to see them.

There so much around us that we can't see but it doesn't mean that it's not there.
For instince we have never seen the backside of the moon, the way the earth rotates humans will never see it on earth. The wind is an example, etc..

But it doesn't mean it's not there; we choose (consciously or unconsciouly not to look or consider the unseen, or perceive it).

Sadly our spiritual lives are the same way.

There's so much amazing activity that's happening around us, that's happening in us that God has clearly said in the scriptures but we refuse to see it, not because we don't want to but because no one ever told us to.

Train yourself to see in the Holy Spirit, train your eyes to see past what the natural is and what is going on around you. Look in the Bible, pray, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the environment around you.

So,
what's going on around you right now?

When God heals someone he breaks the law-Jesus is #1 Smooth Criminal

When God heals someone he breaks the laws of the earth, the rules of gravity..

The law says if your lungs don't have oxygen and can't breathe you die--God heals you he just broke a law of the universe...

The world is falling apart is going tohell when we heal someone we reverse the laws, we reverse the course of hell

The world has so many laws: all Jesus did was break them:

You're not suppose to walk on water, you're suppose to fall and sink to the bottom of the ocean...

Lazarous according to his condition was suppose to die- Jesus broke the law and raised him up...

Reversing the Course of the World

Each day the world spins, each day God's beautiful creation is getting destroyed, polluted, unique animals that God has created, are becoming extinct, morality is getting worse, death to God's creation is happening (that's why their groaning so we can be released in the earth)..
Each day the earth spins, more it collapses, more earthquakes, more it breaks apart, each day, more hidden diseases/ cancer cells are multiplying/ multiplying of diseases/flu’s spiraling into hell..

Even though we walk outside and see God's beautiful creation/ we can take trips to exotic locations and have our breath taken away by God's beauty, where there's nothing but praises that comes from our mouth and we can fall into the dand and do nothing but worship the Lord, because of His beautiful creation, how beautiful it is takes our breath away... Nothing but praises comes from us... nothing but worship comes from us it's so fascinating its so beyond us, beyond our imagination, beyond everything in us...

We need to thank God for how it looks right now, how beautiful He created it how beautiful it is right now... (because the lust of men will take it away, sin will eventually spread and take it away) that's what sin was originally designed to do is to take something perfect absolutely beautiful, absolutely the best thing beyond our imaginations and rip it apart... destroy it...

but men are polluting it; the course of the planet is spinning into hell

That’s where we come in.

God inside of us comes in to change this..

Only one-way for eternal fix: preach the gospel to the ends of the earth
So Jesus can come back...

When Jesus comes back, He will correct the world, restore the world to where it is supposed to be... Jesus will not destroy the earth but restore it!!! He will cause the ultimate reversal of the planet (see below Book of Revelation)

The book of revelation is the only book of the bible that God destroyed something He created...

That's why it's so emotional, that's why it took so long, that's why God kept on giving us chance after chance to repent... He loves us so much (John 3:16-17) God loves the world that He gave his only Son not condemn the world or destroy the world but that through Him the world my be saved...

He doesn't want to destroy us/this planet that's the last thing He wants, He wants us back to him... To be with Him to throw a party slay the fatted calf, and run to welcome us home like the prodigal son..
Like the prodigal son Rembrandt painted, that we have spoken about for 1000's of years- God wants that love he wants us He wants love from us....

He loves so much what he created...

(Except those that have turned from him in the 3rd heaven/2nd heaven)

Millennial reign
The New Jerusalem
Banqueting table
God loves the world/God Loves his planet.. He doesn't want it to be destroyed but for it to fulfill its original purpose He created it for...

Did God ever destroy anything He created in the Bible??
Other than Satan and his angels

No He didn't He restored it.
He made it brand new!!!

Book of Revelation:

(Special creatures) -unique animals
Will correct it

Vision

Without a Vision the people perish

Without a Vision people cast off restraint
Without a vision people have no restraint
Without a vision people have no restraint, people have no reason to control themselves

With a vision there's a reason to live
With vision there's a reason for restraint, there's a reason for self control, threes a reason for discipline

Without a Vision the you perish

Without a Vision people you will cast off restraint
Without a vision you will have no restraint
Without a vision people have no restraint, you will have no reason to control yourselve

With a vision there's a reason to live
With vision there's a reason for restraint, there's a reason for self control, threes a reason for discipline

Why people get Martyred

People get martyred because the world can't stop them...

Inside of them they carry something that only a bullet, a knife, a weapon can stop..

Because people, discouragement, their past can't stop them their mom, their family,n mistakes

They decided or allowed those things to not affect them and their passion hunger overwhelmed them...

There hunger and thirst overwhelmed the world and it couldn't stop them so they have to use a sword to silence a voice that was overwhelming the world
